Players maintain the well being of their pet and teach their pet how to behave and perform tricks. Players can play with their pet, meet and interact with other pets, and enter their pet into talent show competitions. Floodgate created a sprite animation engine for use on Mo-Pets. The sprite engine performs well on a wide range of BREW and J2ME phones. TimeFissure provided additional modeling and animation of the games pet characters. Animations were culled down in order to keep the memory requirements low. This enabled the game to increase the range of handsets which could be used.
